Have you heard the exciting news? The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region has partnered with Wolf Ranch to manage the Recreation Center and pool for this wonderful community. We here at Goetzmann Custom Homes are thrilled about this development. It ensures that the first-class amenities and warm neighborliness that Wolf Ranch is known for will continue to thrive and flourish.
Goetzmann Custom Homes bring a deep commitment to positive attitude, pride, and a collaborative, communicative team approach to every custom home they build. Connecting people of all ages and backgrounds mirror this guiding vision in the YMCA’s mission to strengthen community. This is a big win/win for everyone in Wolf Ranch!
Recreation Center Perks for Property Owners
The Rec Center is designed for the exclusive use of homeowners and residents of Wolf Ranch, but guest passes are available. Membership purchase options include family, couple, and individual packages. Under the capable supervision of Ms. Marti Wallner, Operations Director, here are a few of the perks you’ll find at the 6-acre Community Recreation Center in the beautiful park setting:
The nearly 4,000-square-foot clubhouse hosts fun and educational programs and activities year-round. Join your neighbors for informative wine tasting sessions or group exercise classes. Special holiday festivities are always on the schedule, and members of the Wolf Ranch Recreation Center are welcome to reserve space for private celebrations. With a full kitchen and spacious meeting rooms, there’s always something going on at the Clubhouse.
On the second Friday of each month, drop the kids off at the Rec Center and enjoy a much-needed Parents Night Out (or stay in and enjoy the silence.) The kids will be fed and entertained while you grab a restorative adult time-out. A monthly Teen Night offers socializing with peers over games, pool parties, and service projects.
Summer Splash Park
On the deck of the swimming pool, separated from the pool by a sturdy safety fence, kids of all ages love the Rec Center’s Splash Park’s many features. Jet squirts, geysers, rainbow sprays, and bucket trios keep everyone cool in the Colorado Springs summer heat. The Splash Pod’s filtration system is separate from the swimming pool to ensure maximum safety and the cleanest water.
While kids enjoy the playground filled with modern equipment and walking trails, parents enjoy the Wi-Fi hot spot convenience in a peaceful park setting.
The Rec Center’s popular pool is heated and features a 4-foot depth at each end that slopes to 5 feet in the middle. Programs include swim lessons for all ages, a swim team, and lap lanes. In the fall, the pool cover is installed to allow comfortable cold weather swimming.
Gratitude for this cover goes to the Falfins Swim Team. This group offers several swim programs in the Wolf Ranch pool. Recreation Center members receive a 40 percent discount on some of the Falfins Swim Team programs. Although the Falfins are “all about the kids,” the large team of close to 200 swimmers spans all ages and ability levels, from novice to seniors.
The Falfins coaches use a unique training program to help swimmers develop technique and skill at every stage, and the team is open to swimmers of all abilities. If you have a family member interested in joining a dynamic group of dedicated coaches and athletes, the 2015 – 2016 tryouts take place at Rampart High. All you need is 15 minutes and an appointment!
